In our practice the practice nurse (GP Practice Support - Somatics) has consultation hour by appointment.
The practice nurse supports the general practitioner and has more time than the GP.
Her tasks include among other things:
- controls of patients with a chronic disease
(including diabetes and COPD) - guidance of people who want to stop smoking
- care for elderly people
At the end of her consultation hour the practice nurse discusses her findings with the GP and, if necessary, changes are made.
